THE GRAFFIC JAM STORY

Stacks Image 771

‘Small but mighty’ is a fitting way to describe the Graffic Jam team. Between them, Adrian and Sally bring an impressive 55+ years of experience, production and technical know-how to the table.

The creative forces initially collaborated on an international incentive event back in 2007. Year on year, their role within this prestigious annual event grew exponentially, eventually seeing them deliver the full solution – from initial concept through to onsite management. Within their expanded remit, Sally and Adrian curated a go-to list of outstanding national and international freelance talent who they contracted on behalf of their client.

With a proven model that offered their client efficiency, simplicity and creative freedom, Graffic Jam was formed in 2013. The streamlined agency sees clients benefit from an agile team which is entirely scalable, dependent on their project’s budget and requirements – what’s not to like?
Now the team is expanding and the story is constantly evolving - come and meet the Graffic Jam team…

Innovative. Knowledgeable. Ambitious.

Sally Holland, Production Director

“To deliver a flawless and engaging event requires competence, knowledge and experience – there’s little margin for error! But it’s our approach – our humility and humour, in a high-pressure environment – which gives us the edge and makes our team exceptional.”

Showtime is where Sally thrives. With her career beginning in the theatre, Sally has worked her way through just about every backstage crew role, culminating in Deputy Stage Manager in London’s West End.

In 1996 Sally transitioned into live events in the corporate sector, as show caller for high profile launches, award ceremonies and more. Sally lends her energy to live and virtual event production, harnessing her invaluable capability and honed network of connections to create and coordinate immersive experiences both onsite and online.

Nick Farrow, Senior Creative Designer

“Good design is obvious, great design is transparent.”

Nick Farrow joined Graffic Jam in May 2022. He studied an advanced BTEC at Watford school of graphic design graduating with merit in 1996. He started his career at a London design studio working on identity and print projects. With natural evolution in communication from print to digital design he was able to adapt and encompass website design, wireframing, creative technology, brand identities, and conference immersive experiences.
Nick has worked with a plethora of clients from Amway, Herbalife, ITV, TUI, Just Giving, Butlins, Green Park, and Warner Bros to name but a few.
All good designers have an extra curricular projects or side hustles and Nick is no exception. With a keen interest in illustration and typography he can be found brightening up his Instagram account with new and fresh self styled projects.

Nick has always been fascinated with how typography, colour and images can influence us, from the artwork on music sleeves (especially the 90’s dance flyers) to packaging. With each genre, it sparks an emotion and that’s what he loves.

His other interests are also design led, he’s collector of Air Jordan’s (sneakerhead), dedicated Lego builder, a bit of a gamer and loves F1.

Stuart Fuller, Motion Graphics Designer and Editor

“I am lucky to be doing a job that I enjoy.”

I love bringing a project to life through editing and visual effects and the satisfaction of delivering exactly what the client needs and more.

A self proclaimed ‘huge nerd’ for video, design and animation.
Stuart started his career in the TV industry in a technical role, but his creative skills in motion graphics and design were quickly recognised and utilised in multiple programs, across multiple channels and networks.

His mix of creative and technical experience has given him an extensive knowledge of Motion graphics and Video editing applications, as well as a good eye for detail, and an eagerness to keep expanding on his own experience by learning and trying new technologies and ideas.

Claire Smith, Office Administrator

“With great design comes great responsibility.”

However, creatives are not always the most practical people, and that’s where Claire comes in. With a varied career background from publishing to construction health and safety, via running her own baking business, she is willing to get stuck into anything, but is happiest getting things organised and ticking off a to-do list.

Self-confessed office geek, she is an “expert Googler” and lover of an Excel spreadsheet. An energetic little person, known to friends as the bouncy chihuahua, Claire likes to think she fits well with the Graffic Jam “small but mighty” branding!

Constantin Kalinin, Front End Developer

“It’s important to me to find meaning in the work I do”

Constantin joined Graffic Jam in September 2022 as a Front-end Software Developer. He is passionate about creating products that will make people’s lives easier.
Constantin has a degree in Mechanical Engineering but has always had an interest in computers. This led him to change career to software development which he finds enjoyable and creative.
He feels strongly about generating good products and is highly motivated to fix that which is frustrating. Career experience as a software developer and QA analyst has further honed his problem-solving skills. As a front-end developer, user interaction is always at the forefront of his mind.
Moving to the UK from the Ukraine in 2016, Constantin speaks Russian, Ukrainian and English, and is currently learning Japanese. Of course, he is fluent in JavaScript and Ruby too! In his spare time he enjoys a range of hobbies such as music, books, film, and football, and naturally keeping up with the latest tech trends! During the pandemic he also developed an interest in photography.
A calm and composed presence in the office, Constantin is known as the cultured one, but we like to think he is quietly amused by our antics!

Juan Pablo Castel Davila, Front End Developer

“The best decision I ever made was to quit my job and learn to code”

Juan is not afraid to try new things!
He moved to Brighton from Madrid 8 years ago after completing degrees in Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Science and Technology. Working as a store assistant in a busy supermarket gave him the chance to learn English in a customer-facing role but didn’t satisfy his appetite for problem-solving.
He decided it was time for a career change and a friend introduced him to the School of Code Bootcamp. Here he studied the principles of software development, the fundamentals of HTML, CSS and Javascript, computational thinking and teamwork, to name just a few!
Juan joined Graffic Jam in October 2022 as a Front-End Software Developer and has already been a great addition to the team. He enjoys the process of learning, problem-solving and seeing the visible results of his work come to life on screen.
Outside of work Juan is kept busy with family life. When he has a rare moment of spare time he loves hiking in the South Downs and cooking. His colleagues always like seeing what delicacies he has brought in for lunch!
